Breakfast Smoothies!
"
It's like eating ice cream for breakfast, only it's good for you!"
A blender is necessary for this recipe. My partner and I have been having smoothies for breakfast for quite a few months now. I never liked heavy breakfasts, but I needed to eat something, and having a fruit filled smoothie is amazingly energising. It's a wonderful way to start the day...

Suggested Ingredients:

1 medium organic banana
Another piece of fruit, (organic if possible) such as:

1 apple, peach or pear, cored but not peeled, or: a handful of berries, frozen is fine (get the unsweetened kind)
Water (purified) or nut milk
Frozen juice concentrate, unsweetened:
orange is my favourite.. (optional)
Small handfull of nuts, almonds and pecans are best (optional)

Spices, such as:
nutmeg, cinnamon, cardamom (optional)
Extras, such as:
vitamin supliments (powdered)
nutritional yeast
hemp or other suplimental oil

Method:

Break up the banana and place in the blender jar. Add a piece fruit or about 3/4 cups of berries, frozen or fresh. (Frozen is super yummy!) If the fruit is on the sour side, add a Tbsp or so of frozen juice concentrate. Pour in water or nut milk (or I suppose, real milk if you wanted..) so that it just comes up to the top of the fruit.

Blend the fruit and water until everything is well pureed. Taste, and add water if you want it to be thinner. Add spices if desired and any suplimental type thingies now. Blend to mix.

You're done! Makes enough for 2 people.

Some good combinations:
1 banana, 1 apple, 1 Tbsp orange concentrate, nutmeg, 1 1/2 Tbsp hemp oil

1 banana, frozen blueberries, orange juice concentrate
